On large reports, it can take a considerable amount of time for the tag editor to come up.

Tip 1: develop with your tags in text mode.  You don't have to use the tag editor, so no frustrations while you wait

Tip 2: Developing with tags in text mode can be a real hassle for layout.  Open a blank word document and cut and paste your tag, or a section of tags you are working on from your large report into the blank word document.  Then open your tag in the empty document.  It will pop up instantly.  Make your change and cut and paste the tag back into your large document.  A couple of extra steps, but better than waiting 30-40 seconds for the editor to come up for each tag
